This is a very simple recipe that can be used in a lot of other fast dishes such as salads or sandwiches.
Ingredients
For a 1L jar you roughly need:
- 500-600g red onions
- 200g water
- 200g vinegar
- 3g salt
- [optional: some thyme]
Instructions
Peel and cut the onions into stripes. Place them in a heat-resistant (!) jar. Measure the water and vinegar, mix them and bring them to a boil. Now pour the boiling mix over the onions. Let thee jar cool down a bit and close it. Let it fully cool down and place it in the fridge.
The onions are great for salads, sandwiches or burgers.
