To be honest Im still not sure why this combination does work as well as it does. It sounds weird, but it tastes awesome!
I had several doughlings left and we were already full, so I started to mess around with leftovers in the fridge. I was super sceptical about the pepper sausage, but I wanted something in addition to the egg. While I would go with half an egg next time, the overall combinadion worked way better than it should have.
Ingredients
- tomatoe sauce
- mozarella
- 1/2 swirreled egg (I used a whole one for the one in the picture but it was a bit much)
- pepper ‘Hauswurst’ (loosely translated homemade sausage)
- red onion
Instructions
For this pizza you do want to have a good edge on all (!) sides of the pizza as otherwise the egg may rinse out during baking!
Apply tomatoe sauce and mozarella, followed by the scrambled egg. Try to distribute it well over all of the pizza. Then add the saucage slices and the red onion rings.
Bake, enjoy, repeat.
Next time…
- only use half an egg per pizza
